Background

Charles St George is a design engineer, draftsman, and machinist with more than 40 years of experience designing, developing, and manufacturing firearms and other weapons systems. Charles’ designs include:
Leader Dynamics T2 MK 5 — the first rifle to use a triangular bolt with three locking lugs and Zytel Super Tough Nylon (in cooperation with DuPont USA);
Armtech ART30 bullpup — precursor to the Bushmaster M17S — the first rifle to use an aluminum-alloy extrusion for the upper receiver (now an industry standard)
The award-winning Leader 50 A1 bullpup — the lightest and most compact semi-automatic .50 BMG rifle in the world.
Charles’ triangular bolt head design has been adopted by such companies as Barrett Firearms Mfg., Benelli Armi SpA, K&M Arms, and Serbu Firearms, Inc.
Arran St George is a small arms consultant, defense analyst, and technical writer with more than 12 years of experience in the U.S. firearms industry.
